So, the whole world is in lock down state. Since the last 3 months I have also been under lock down, doing work-from-home – the new corporate mantra. At the onset of this pandemic, inspite of the concern I was atleast confident staying indoors will help & keep my family protected. But along with this there was this new found time (or so it felt!!)

It sounded very attractive. I had lot of plans in mind. Afterall I was going to save time for the travel to work. The coffee breaks, lunch breaks was going to be there anyways. So I imagined I would be getting enough breaks, complete work by evenings & get time to pursue my hobbies. Get back to writing, drawing, crafting, cooking, reading, excercise etc etc. I did start off with the enthu to cook new recipes, managed to make one sketch & create two earrings in the first week of lock down. Finished a book & with lots of enthusiasm started another. Started a watsap fitness group with my friends also.

After that I don’t know what happened. Work completely took over life & all I can think of is waking up in the morning, sitting infront of computer & shutting down computer to only get to sleep. I realize I am overworking, but this soon became the norm now. The book I started 2 months ago is still lying there. There is a half-finished earring waiting to be completed in my craft box. And cooking is now limited to basic survival food, which I hurry up to finish cooking before starting work. The only respite is the group watsap call we have every night with my parents & sisters from different time zones 🙂 . That is the only thing we have made sure to continue everyday since the lock down.

Thus after 3 months, I happened to login to my wordpress account & found that my last post was only in 2019. I decided to write something, anything to get into the flow. Hoping to be more conscious and not lose life to work & try to find some time for hobbies & health..

Hope that the virus spread stops soon & life is back to normal again… And I cant end this post without giving a shout-out to all the essential workers risking their lives out there!!! More power to humanity!!!
